My Quiet Child

Hello World, I am a quiet child.

I have been ignored for a while.

You gave me an electronic device.

You never thought about it twice.

As long as it kept me quiet

you felt that would justify it.

Yesterday I met a man who told me he is my biggest fan.

He told me things that made me feel like a man.

He even told me how to take a stand

for no real reason, just because I can.

Now that I am alone and confused

he told me how I’m ready to use.

He took me to a high place.

I felt like I was on top of the world.

That stuff he gave me put me in a swirl.

I knew that something was wrong

because in my head were the words of a song:

“If you ever want to fly

use some crack before you DIE!”
